Mom of the month

Heidi reciting her letter. Without reading it. I had no idea she even worked on it. GOOD JOB!
Heidi standing by the poster she made. It's the green one.
Heidi nominated me at her school to be Mother of the month. I was treated to a contiental breakfast. Heidi got up and read her nomination. But she did it from memory and add her little quirky sense of humor in there. then I got a nice certificate and heidi drew a poster for me. Her letter stated, " My mother supports my education in many different ways. She makes me go to bed at night on time so that I am not sleepy during the school day. Every morning I eat a good breakfast so I won't have a hunger headache during class. Even though I have 3 younger siblings my mom still takes the stime to study with me. She drops me off at school on time so that i am not late.
My mom is special to me because she loves me a bunch. She watched out for me and helps me with my problems I might have. I lover her more than an elephant love peanuts!"

What a great girl. She is so kind hearted and sweet. I sure do love my little Heidi.

Rock Band at the Griffins

Hemi and daddy played roadies, crew members, and audience
heidi also played lead guitar.
Sometime the go go dancer
Harley on bass
Dillinger on drums
Heidi was feeling it.
They Griffins had us over for dinner and the kids were allowed to play rock band. For about 3 hours we got to hear Eye of the Tiger about 35 times I am not kidding. We all by the end of the night were eating, talking, nodding our heads to the rythem. dum, dum ,dum, dum, dum dum duuuuummmmmm dum ( you get the point). It was so fun. Great idea for a combo b-day gift or Christmas next year. Maybe I will save my summer school money and get it with it.

Foil Dinners

Okay, well I don't know if you have noticed or not. But when I post I start with the end and work backwards. That isn't how I am putting them on but for some reason that is how it posts. So, in order to get the full effect of my blog~ scroll down to the bottom of each section and read up. I am bringing a bit of cultural flair into my blog by mixing up the order in which we read. You're welcome! and yes, I love to add this symbol~ again it is my signature touch. If I ever wrote a book I would put at least 4.5 of these ~ on a page. Now, that i have totally gotten off track happy reading~~~. :0)

The final product. Why cabbage you ask. Well let me give you some advice and tips. Yes, hell must be freezing over~ If you lay cabbage on the bottom and top, it won't burn your food (as much) I still have some burning. It's my signature touch.
Heidi being a great help so Hemi doesn't get burned
Dillinger giving dad some love.
Our dinners on the fire or coals Are you impressed I new the proper term.... I tell you I am moving up in the cooking world. Watch out Top Chef!~

I just want everyone to know this was my idea for dinner. Yes, I acutally came up with a good one. I even did all the prep work. I was going to start the fire but my wonderful husband beat me to it- (pyro). We had a great Family Home evening making foil dinners. They turned out really well. I even experimented and did chicken~ ha it worked and was edible. YES! I am moving up the culinary arts ladder.

You go son!
The Karate class
That's it harley with all your might.
Go Heidi get the bad guy.

Dillinger's farm trip

Dillinger's kinder class took a field trip to the superstitioni farm. It was really neat. They got to try fresh milk, make a bracelet, ride a hay ride, pet animals and feed some. It was a great day.
I asked him to stand next to the cut out cow.

They got to pet and feed goats, a donkey, rabbits, chickens, and other animals.
Dillinger on the hay ride.

Hemi and the Chocolate bar

Here is what happens when you give an 11 month old a chocolate bar. I wonder what the pediatrician would say. She loved it.
I know she looks like a burn victim but it is really chocolate. This picture looks so sad. She was so sticky her eye was sticking shut. We couldn't stop laughing
She started to rub her sticky hands in her hair and all the kids started laughing so then she was doing it on purpose and then she would give her fake laugh. It was so hysterical.
Sweet Sweet Hershey bar~ Special Dark.

Harley and Hemi hanging out.

In the evening the kids come in and hang out on my bed. Daddy's at work so I don't mind. He does but what he doesn't know won't hurt him. Anyway Harley came and laid down and Hemi crawled over and snuggled up next to Harley. Then she wrapped her arm around her neck. Hemi is a cuddler. And harley loves her baby sister. She is such a sweet girl.

This just makes my heart melt. Eternal families are great

Disneyland highlights

We had a blast at Disneyland. My mom, muffy, shannon, curley, sid, john, heidi, dillinger, harley, hemi and myself all went over Preisdent's day weekend. Shannon and Sid got us kick butt deals on a very nice hotel. Better then some of the rooms we have stayed in; in the past. WE didn't have neighbors who came in and out by the hour. It was expected the same people would be in the one room ALL night long.

On Monday, when we went, California got the rainstorm of the season about 3- 4 inches in just one day. Oh, a little rain is not going to deter us from the happiest place on earth. No sir ee. We grabbed our ponchos and headed for the land of fun and laughter. It had its pros and cons. If you didn't mind a little rain, okay sheets of rain pouring down on you, You could get on rides with no wait. On splash mountain we litteraly didn't even get off the ride and stayed on and went again. It was the best. What takes most people to get done in 5 days we did in one morning. The kids got on space mountain in 5 mins. It sure made the day better because I didn't have to stand in line for hours with young kids.

After about the third downpour we decided to get the kids back to the hotel to dry off and get new clothes on. It stopped raining so John and i decided to head back out. My mom offered to watch hemi at the hotel so that we wouldn't have to take her out into the cold air. My mom is the best. We had a great time with the older three and rode all the coolest rides like mr. toads wild ride and it's a small world. _everyone's favorite. If you want to make the most of disneyland go when it is incliment weather. Next, time I will try and time it during an earthquake I bet we could have the whole thing to ourselves. A great time was had by all.
That's my heidi. I sure do love that girl.
Dillinger relaxing after two long days.

HArley LOVED this ride.
Daddy and hemi taking in the sites.

Odds and end in regards to Disneyland

Heidi- mom will you take our picture in front of this sign. mom- sure everyone look at me and pose. The result.
dillinger said, Grandma will you take my picture up here. Grandma said sure. Climb higher. Then if dillinger can do it, why can't harley. When daddy came out of the bathroom, he said, Dillinger I told you to get down. He then said, well grandma wanted to take my picture. What a tricky little boy.
We are cute.
