Hemi's Big gulp and Rocking Chair

She likes to watch her feet dangle.
Hemi loves to climb in and out of her rocking chair that Grandma Childers has just for her. Or so she thinks.
My three BEAUTIFUL girls!

Not sure if this is something to brag about or not but it is reality. When hemi hears a can of soda crack open a can you will her the pitter patter of her legs and hands slapping the ground as she finds who ever has the soda to giver her a fix. She extends her arm and puts out her hand and screams..... that is her way of asking please. She has taken ownership over the family's 64oz container. It was easy to make the transition from breast feeding to cup (straw) as long as I had the aide of the soda. Now, I can even get her to walk a few steps if I encourage her with at the end of her steps she can get a drink. Additiction, motivation. isn't it the same. The lines seem to be blurred here. she evens says awwhhhh after taking a refreshing drink. Next she'll want energy drinks, cell phones, and an ipod at 2 years of age.
She knows how to put her straw back into her container to get more soda.
She likes to play "Fido" with the straw.
I better crawl away now. You have to know when to say when.
The sweet stuff! She's getting her fix.

  2. Grandma Childers says, "If you try hiding your soda from her, she will FIND IT in no time. It doesn't matter what flavor your having it is good with her. Now Dillinger has a preferance. Cherry. Usually it is with something in most drinks, but he like PURE CHERRY. So do I Dillinger.

  3. Is she just barely a year? I can't believe she can put the straw back in by herself. She is so cute and clever. Thanks for your humor, once again.
